Board Member Bio

Leigh Anne Baker, MS, L-SLP, CCC-SLP
Leigh Anne Baker received a Master of Science degree in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She is currently employed in the public school system sector but has previously worked in long-term acute care, pediatric outpatient rehabilitation, adult inpatient rehabilitation and has presented on swallowing and swallowing disorders and clinical education in speech-language pathology.
Leigh Anne is a Past President of the Louisiana Speech-Language-Hearing Association, receiving a special recognition award in 2018. She is an alum of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Leadership Development Program, has served as an ASHA STEP Mentor, has served as a National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association Chapter Advisor, and was President of the Baton Rouge Area Speech-Language Pathologists from 2007-2012. Currently, Leigh Anne is the Louisiana member of the ASHA Speech-Language Pathology Advisory Council. She holds membership in LSHA and ASHA.
