Board Member Bio


Annette E. Hurley, Ph.D., L-AUD

 

Annette Hurley, Ph.D. CCC-A was appointed to the Board by Governor John Bel Edwards in September 2017.  She received her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi and received her PhD from Louisiana State University.  She is serving as Interim Head and Audiology Program Director in the Department of Communication Disorders at LSUHSC.  As a tenured associate professor with over twenty-five years of experience, her duties include teaching, research and providing clinical services.  She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and was elected as a member of the Council for Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology and served as Chair in 2017. She has also served as an audiology academic site visitor for CAA.
